Ingredients
2 cup light sweet cherries
2 cups dark sweet cherries
2 cups tart red cherries
6 cups sugar
Juice of 1 lemon


Instructions

Choke Cherry Jelly

3 C. choke cherry
6 1 / 2 c. Sugar or Splinder
1 bottle liquid fruit pectin
1 / 4 tsp. Almond extract (optional)

Pour juice into large pot. Add sugar and mix well. Place over high heat and bring a boil while stirring constantly. Stir in pectin. Bring to full boil and boil hard minutes, while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir and skim for 5 minutes. Add the extract, if desired. Pour into hot sterilized jars or glasses.
Makes about 4 liters of 1 / 2.
